Fireworks Safety Guidelines

Please read before celebrating

Important: Fireworks can be dangerous if misused. Always follow local regulations and use responsibly. By purchasing our products, you confirm you are 18 years of age or older.

Before You Light

  1. 1Maintain a safe distance of at least 5 metres from the lighting point.
  2. 2Read all instructions printed on the product packaging before use.
  3. 3Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby at all times.
  4. 4Wear close-fitting cotton clothing — avoid synthetic fabrics.
  5. 5Never allow children under 18 to handle or light fireworks unsupervised.
  6. 6Check wind direction and ensure spectators are upwind of the lighting point.

During Use

  1. 1Light one firework at a time and step away immediately after lighting.
  2. 2Never hold a firework in your hand while lighting — place it on a flat, stable surface.
  3. 3Never attempt to re-light a firework that has not gone off.
  4. 4Move to a safe distance before the firework activates.
  5. 5Keep spectators at least 10 metres away from the lighting point.

After Use

  1. 1Soak used fireworks and duds in a bucket of water before disposing.
  2. 2Place soaked fireworks in a sealed plastic bag before putting them in the bin.
  3. 3Never throw dry used fireworks into a garbage bin — they may still contain active chemicals.
  4. 4Allow sparkler wires to cool completely before touching or disposing.
